Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
March 25 - 26, 2006

Next is a visit to Font's Point in the Borrego Badlands

Named by Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza for Father Pedro Font who traveled with Anza on his second overland trip in 1775. Anza traveled from Mexico to the Presido of San Francisico to help Spainish efforts to halt the Russian expansion in California. Would we be speaking Russian today otherwise? Location east of town and south of hwy S22, see map.
